Jim holds a Ph.D. from the University of Denver. He also is a professional certified coach (PCC) through the International Coach Federation. Jim founded CohereUs Consulting in 2005 while teaching management and leadership at the University of Colorado, Boulder. He has also held senior level management positions at both Lucent Technologies and Sun Microsystems.

Jim LoPresti has worked in both corporate and academic worlds, utilizing practice and theory, for over thirty five years. He brings expertise to his clients in executive coaching, negotiation skills/conflict resolution, leadership through story-telling, team building, senior management alignment, resonance and resilience, and cultural transformation. With a strong foundation in emotional/social intelligence, he successfully incorporates emotional and social intelligence concepts into highly analytical business environments through individual and group coaching, combining right and left brain methodologies to help inspire “big picture” perspectives.
Jim has worked with a broad range of audiences, such as “C” level executive leaders, senior and middle managers, front line workers, and executive MBA and undergraduate students. Jim is as equally comfortable employing his coaching and consulting skills abroad as he is at home. He has coached middle to upper level managers on emotional intelligence and high performance team building in France, Germany, Belgium, The Netherlands, Italy and Singapore.
